Inspection Cover - Triumph Slick Shift

This finned inspection covers is made for the 1958-62 Triumph Pre-Unit "Slick Shift" Gearbox to replace part T1542 (57-1542).

To fit you will need

2 x T1553 Small Diameter Round Head Screws

2 x E2312 Small Diameter Shake Proof Washers

1 x T1541 Gasket

Important Information

Some resellers supply Screws and washers that will not fit!  The only screw/washer combination that will fit is the factory T1553/E2312 combination as they both have a much smaller outside diameter.  Allen Key or Socket Head Cap CEI screws may fit but are untested.

A gasket is recommended as castings and gasket surfaces may differ slightly, my covers have double the gasket face thickness to allow some lapping of the gasket surface if required.
